Founder

Eugénio Fernandes has a degree in Economics from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a postgraduate degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, in Strategic Marketing.

He began his professional career as a financial manager at the Portuguese offices of the Italian airline Alitalia between 1994 and 1997. In the same year, he left Alitalia, heading to Angola, also as a financial manager, but this time with ENAVE – Estaleiros Navais de Luanda.

Between 2003 and 2005 he became CEO of the company Airplus in Mozambique. In 2005 he joined euroAtlantic airways, where he holds the positions of Sales Manager and board advisor.

In 2017 at euroAtlantic he became the CCO and a board member. He was the CEO of the Portuguese airline until the end of 2022 and also held the position of board member with STP Airways – São Tomé e Príncipe’s airline and with the Portuguese tour operator ‘SONHANDO’.
